About Us
About Rhubarb Farm
A place where people can find routine, connection, and confidence through practical, naturebased support.
Rhubarb Farm is a social enterprise and charity based in Langwith, on the
Derbyshire–Nottinghamshire border. We offer a warm welcome to adults with support needs
who want to build confidence, reconnect with routine, and feel part of a supportive
community.
Through social and therapeutic horticulture, meaningful activity, and plenty of
encouragement, we create a calm, friendly space where people can grow at their own pace
and feel proud of what they achieve.
Who we are
Built on the belief that everyone deserves to feel welcome
Rhubarb Farm is built on the belief that everyone deserves a place where they feel welcome, safe, and valued. We work side by side with people in a calm outdoor environment, offering encouragement, guidance, and support that feels personal and grounded.
We focus on creating a warm, consistent atmosphere where people can take things at their own pace, knowing they will be met with kindness, structure, and understanding.

What We Do
Practical, nature-based support that helps people move forward
We support adults who are experiencing challenges such as isolation, low confidence, disrupted routines, or poor mental health. Through hands-on horticulture, purposeful daily activity, and warm, consistent support, we help people settle into a steady routine and build confidence through achievable, meaningful tasks.
We offer structured, nature-based support in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire that strengthens mental health and wellbeing and helps people move forward.
Day-to-day activities might include sowing seeds, harvesting produce, tending garden beds, caring for plants, or helping prepare veg boxes — practical tasks that provide gentle routine, purpose, and a sense of achievement.
Our Vision
A world where everyone has the opportunity to grow
We envision a future where people can lead thriving, confident lives, supported by strong, connected communities. Our vision is a world in which everyone – whatever their background or circumstances – feels a sense of belonging and has opportunities to grow. By championing inclusive horticulture, connection with nature, and sustainable practice, we look towards a community that flourishes together.
Our Mission
A safe, welcoming space where people can thrive
Our mission is to support individuals, our community, and the environment through a warm, inclusive, and empowering approach. We create a safe, welcoming space where people can build confidence and thrive. Through social and therapeutic horticulture, meaningful routine, and local, organic food production, we provide practical, hands-on opportunities that help people learn new skills, feel more connected, and make positive, lasting progress.
Our Mission and Vision guide how we welcome people, how we work, and how we grow together.
