Rhubarb Farm

Our Programmes

At Rhubarb Farm, we provide a safe, friendly, and supportive place where people can grow, recover, build confidence, and feel part of a community. Our programmes are practical, meaningful, and rooted in real activity—combining fresh air, purposeful work, and supportive relationships.

Everyone who joins us is welcomed with kindness and respect. We work alongside each person, offering guidance and encouragement while helping them develop new skills, discover strengths, and take positive steps forward.

What we Offer

Programmes Designed to Meet People Where They Are

Whether someone needs structure, gentle wellbeing support, help during recovery, or practical assistance with food, each programme offers a welcoming space to feel included, supported, and able to move forward at a pace that suits them.

We run four main programmes. Each one supports different needs, but all share the same values: meaningful activity, supportive staff, and an inclusive community.

Adult Day Service

A friendly, structured day at the Farm that provides routine, purpose, and support. People take part in a wide range of hands-on activities such as gardening, site maintenance, animal care, and creative projects. The focus is on building confidence, learning through everyday tasks, and enjoying being part of a supportive community. The programme is designed so people can get involved in a way that feels comfortable, achievable, and safe, with the flexibility to meet individual needs.

Wellbeing Support

Our Wellbeing Support sessions offer a calm, gentle environment for people who want to feel better emotionally, socially, or mentally. Activities are relaxed and flexible, including nature-based tasks, creative projects, light outdoor work, and supportive conversations. These sessions help people reduce anxiety, rebuild confidence, reconnect with others, and develop positive routines. It’s a welcoming space for anyone who needs time and support to focus on their wellbeing.

Recovery Support

Our Recovery Support programme helps people rebuild their lives after addiction. We offer two supportive options: Rhubarb Recovery at the Farm, which uses outdoor, therapeutic activities, and The Recovery Space, an indoor wellbeing setting for those who prefer a quieter, indoor environment. Both provide steady, compassionate support to help people feel safe, understood, and encouraged on their recovery journey.

We offer Emergency Food Boxes for individuals and families who need help with essential food supplies during challenging moments. How we Work

Our Approach

Meaningful Activities

Every activity has a purpose. Whether growing food, caring for animals, helping with site projects, or working alongside others, people gain confidence and a sense of achievement from contributing to real, valuable tasks.

Learning Through Doing

Skills develop naturally through everyday work—communication, teamwork, timekeeping, responsibility, and practical hands-on skills all grow through experience and encouragement.

Supportive Staff

Staff work side-by-side with people, offering guidance, reassurance, and a listening ear. We take the time to understand each person and provide support in the way that helps them feel safe and comfortable.

A Welcoming Community

Many people arrive feeling unsure or isolated. We create an environment where everyone is included, supported, and valued, helping people build social connections and feel part of something positive.
