Our Programmes
Adult Day Service
The Adult Day Service at Rhubarb Farm offers a warm, friendly, and structured day in a safe outdoor setting. The Farm is a place where adults can build confidence, enjoy meaningful activity, and feel part of a supportive community.
We welcome people who benefit from gentle encouragement, routine, and the chance to learn and grow through practical, real-world tasks. Our approach is person-centred and strengths-based.
What we Offer
What the Service Offers
A full day at the Farm includes a variety of practical, creative, and nature-based activities. We work alongside people, helping them try new things, develop skills, and take part in a way that feels comfortable, achievable, and safe.
Everyone joins in differently. We’ll always adapt activities, pacing, and support to what feels right for each person.
Activities may change depending on the weather, season, and the interests or needs of the group on the day. No one is rushed or pressured.
Gardening and horticulture
Planting, growing, caring, harvesting fruit and vegetables.
Animal care
Gentle, supported involvement with our animals (donkey, pony, pigs, and hens).
Site maintenance and development projects
Simple tasks that help maintain and improve the Farm.
Creative and craft activities
Enjoyable workshops and projects that encourage expression and confidence.
Community projects and events
Contributing to wider community work.
Support
Levels of Support Available
We offer three ways for people to take part in the Adult Day Service. These are not separate services — just different levels of support so people can join in safely and comfortably. Support levels can be adjusted as a person’s confidence or needs change over time.

Our staff work side by side with people throughout the day.
Support is always adapted to match what each person needs that day – more help when needed, more independence when ready.

Guidance and reassurance, and help to try new tasks at a comfortable pace.
A calm and friendly atmosphere with opportunities for teamwork and social connection.
